The Learning Agreement – what is it and what does it offer employers?

The Learning Agreement Pilot is a Government initiative designed to test whether offering a financial incentive encourages 16 and 17 year olds in work to access accredited training. The funding offers employers the chance to:

  • Access free training for 16 and 17 year old employees
  • Receive wage compensation payments for the time spent on training
  • Get up to £250 per young person on successful completion of the qualification
  • Improve the skills of their workforce
  • Develop a workforce positive about training
